Theory of Writing

Theory of Writing

Phew! It’s finally over, I am done with this semester, wohoo!! Now all that’s left is to wrap up this theory of writing. Where to begin, writing has been always been a skeptical challenge for me to tackle, I can write a whole book when I am in the mood, or just a few lines when I am completely not feeling it. To be frank, the rhetorical essays and research essays which I devoted my time and diligence to was not my best effort; I’d say it was a little more rushed than the time I could’ve used efficiently in order to convey my rhetoric and message. Nonetheless, I have this notion if anything works in the nick of time, I just keep on repeating the same schedule. This is the one time that I wanted to reform throughout this semester but was unsuccessful in doing so, I hope I would be able to change my hazardous perception in making use of time.

Moreover, these were not the only writings I had to work on throughout this whole semester. There were some high level engineering courses in which I had to write two essays from each subject, and it was beyond tough. But I enjoyed writing those more than the ones I chose for my freshman composition class, the main reason being I already had a solid background on the engineering curriculums; from the tests and assignments that I had to do to build up that core of knowledge, writing a THIRTY page essay was a breeze as compared to the rhetorical and research essays in this current course.

Nevertheless, this course was quite beneficial on how I could express my ideas in writing; that aided me in my current engineering courses. Before all of this, here there is scope and more job market opportunities. Although, that didn’t stop me in converting this pseudo career pursuit into more of a hobby, I started to read more and analyze how other writers expressed their thoughts and wisdom on pieces of paper, now it’s just ebooks. The era of paper has come to an end, perhaps that would solve the deforestation conundrum that most people are worrying about? I don’t know, I always like the feel of paper rather than staring into a bright screen that makes my eyes twitch. I like audiobooks more, it’s always nice to here a story from the voice of authors; knowing exactly on how they want the audience to receive their messages. I just hope that I will keep on learning from this and in the end, do make my writings more similar to the role-models who I look up to.
